New year, new decade, and, most importantly, new movies! From a new James Bond to the highly-anticipated Wonder Woman sequel, here are the most anticipated movies of 2020!

No Time to Die

James Bond might be the most famous British export of all time, with everyone from Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan taking on the role. Now, in 2020, fans will receive the final taste of Daniel Craig’s Bond. On April 8, the actor will appear in his last turn as James Bond in No Time to Die. With Rami Malek appearing as the film’s villain, fans are pumped for an epic showdown. Meanwhile, Craig himself asked that award-winning actress and writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, of Fleabag fame, to co-write the script, making her the second-ever woman to help write a Bond film. Here’s to another punchy, smart, and action-filled 007 installment!

Black Widow

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is looking to start the new decade strong as they enter a radically new part of their timeline after last year’s Avengers: Endgame. Looking to continue expanding their world, the studio will release Black Widow in May of this year. The movie’s plot takes place after Captain America: Civil War (2016), and will focus on Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow returning to face her Russian past. Scarlett Johansson will return as the Black Widow, and fans are looking forward to seeing whether the actress (and the character) can hold the film by herself.

Top Gun: Maverick

Yes, you read that right! Tom Cruise will return, after more than three decades, in a sequel to one of the biggest films of the ’90s: Top Gun. On June 26, Cruise will take on the role of Navy pilot Maverick once more in Top Gun: Maverick; however, this time, he’ll be training Goose’s son. Not many other members of the original will return, with Jennifer Connelly taking on the part of Maverick’s love interest this go around. But fear not: Val Kilmer will return as Iceman!

Wonder Woman 1984

While most have fallen on their face, previous Wonder Woman became a beloved DC films, both by critics and fans. So, the next installment, Wonder Woman 1984, has everyone very excited for its release in June! Israeli superstar Gal Gadot will return once again to the screen as Wonder Woman, alongside Chris Pratt. This time around, Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig (as the villain) will fill out the rest of the cast. With an incredible cast and director, DC can’t really go wrong!

Bill And Ted Face The Music

Well, it’s been a while! In fact, the previous Bill and Ted movie came out last century! Fans have been eagerly waiting for the next film, and now Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will return in August as the slacker, strange and hilarious musicians, Bill and Ted in Bill And Ted Face The Music. However, this time, they’ve got responsibilities: they have daughters. The movie will be packed with incredible, funny moments, and hopefully will draw in not only the original hardcore Bill and Ted audience, but young fans who will fall in love with the characters.
