One of the biggest Korean pop groups of the decade is collaborating with Disney! A total of five shows will soon be available for streaming on Disney+. There, fans will be able to join the group at their concert, learn more about their success story, and much more.
BTS Partners With Disney+
All seven members of BTS have proven to be incredible singers and dancers on stage. But now, the K-pop group will show their stuff on Disney+! The group’s company, HYBE, and Walt Disney Co. recently announced their partnership and several exclusive, upcoming projects featuring BTS members. In total, they will release five titles for Disney’s streaming service, but only three have been announced in detail. But these first three shows are already a win for Disney on their own, as fans will flock to subscribe globally thanks to the popularity Korean entertainment industry.
The aforementioned titles include an exclusive look at their Los Angeles concert. BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage — LA is a cinematic 4K concert film from Sofi Stadium that was filmed in November 2021, which includes performances of hits like “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.” The concert was a milestone for the group, as it was the first time in two years that members had performed those Billboard-topping songs.
The second release is a docuseries on the band. “This original docuseries follows the incredible journey of 21st-century pop icons BTS,” Disney wrote about BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star. “With unprecedented access to a vast library of music and footage over the past nine years, the series will feature the daily lives, thoughts and plans of BTS members, as they prepare for their second chapter.” The docuseries will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ in 2023.
Showcasing All Sides Of BTS
Last but not least, In the Soop: Friendcation is already out on Disney’s streaming service as of July 22! While this reality show doesn’t feature all the members of BTS, it does showcase vocalist V’s adorable friend group! On the reality show, V, or Kim Taehyung, goes on a surprise trip with his best mates, Itaewon Class’ Park Seojun, Parasite actor Choi Wooshik, ZE:A member Park Hyungsik, and rapper-producer Peakboy. HYBE originally created the show Soop,but previous seasons featured all seven BTS members and had a slightly different premise.
