1. Steve Carell – Marshfield Hills General Store
Actor Steve Carrell isn’t just one of the funniest men in the world, he also owns a business! Not only is Carrell from Concord, Mass., just a two-hour drive from Marshfield, but he and his wife, actress Nancy Walls, often vacation in Marshfield. “The main impetus to keep it going is that not many of those places exist and I wanted this one to stay afloat,” Carell said. “Just, generally speaking, there are not that many local sort of communal places as there used to be. I think it’s nice for people to actually go and talk and have a cup of coffee and communicate with one another.”
