1. Ali MacGraw
Sometimes, people forget the Golden Globes’ previously gave out a “Most Promising Newcomer” award. And in 1970, Ali MacGraw won the award for her role in the 1969 film, Goodbye, Columbus. When she followed that up with Love Story, which earned her a Best Actress Academy Award nomination, there was no question that MacGraw was a leading lady for the ages. However, the actress truly became a household name with her multi-episode guest role on the hit show Dynasty in 1985.
MacGraw continues her career as a leading lady today! Most recently she narrated the film The Trail of the Painted Ponies and in 2016 she starred in Love Letters on Broadway.
