It’s that time of year again: Valentine’s Day! So, you’ve got dinner and dessert prepared, but what about the entertainment? Well, don’t worry! We’ve curated the ultimate list of romantic movies to stream on Netflix this holiday! Whether you’re celebrating with a partner, friends, family, or by yourself, there’s something on Netflix for everyone this Valentine’s Day…

Chocolat (2000)

Chocolat is the perfect rom-com for Valentine’s Day. Based on the novel of the same name, the film follows Vianne (Juliette Binoche), who mysteriously arrives in a small French village with her daughter and opens a chocolaterie. Meanwhile, she develops a sweet (see what we did there?) romance with Roux, played by Johnny Depp. Chocolat might be two decades old, but this love story still holds up! Watching it, you might even smell the chocolate through your screen…

As Good As It Gets (1997)

If you’ve never seen it before, Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to check out the classic rom-com As Good As It Gets. If you have, the holiday is the best time to re-watch it! Gets stars Jack Nicolson and Helen Hunt, and tells the story of a not-so “normal” love tale. An older man with OCD (Nicholson) falls in love with the single-mother waitress in his regular restaurant (Hunt), which makes him push his boundaries and try new things. By the end, you’ll be smiling and reminiscing about the ’90s!

Just Go With It (2011)

As 2020 seems to be Jennifer Aniston’s year, we had to include her on this list! Plus, Just Go With It features classic Aniston-Adam Sandler antics! Sandler plays a man who never gets married, but wears a wedding ring anyway and tells a sad story about his wife to non-suspecting girls. It works great for him – for a while. However, when his scheme backfires, he needs Kathrine (Aniston) to pretend to be his ex-wife. The cast also includes Nicole Kidman, Dave Matthews, and Nick Swanson! Need any more reasons to stream Just Go With It on Netflix?

Mamma Mia! (2008)

Loud, bizarre, hysterical, and, most of all, a really good time – Mamma Mia has it all! In case you’ve never seen it, Mamma Mia is a jukebox musical that uses the music of ABBA as the soundtrack. To be honest, the plotline doesn’t matter all that much. Instead, fans stay glued to the screen for the great sons and fantastic cast, which features the likes of Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgård and many more! Mamma Mia is the perfect Valentine’s Day movie on Netflix for watching with friends, family, or if you’re just a “Dancing Queen!”

Her (2013)

What’s better than Joaquin Phoenix, Scarlett Johansson, a love story, and a dash of science-fiction? Her became a cult movie for its unique story about a man who’s incredibly lonely and ends up falling in love with his A.I. assistant, voiced by no other than Johansson. These two Oscar-nominated actors create the perfect on-screen tension; Johansson’s sultry voice and Pheonix’s mesmerizing acting job manage to catch the human longing for love and affection.
