1. Eric Clapton – $300 Million
While guitarist Eric Clapton first came to prominence in England with the Yardbirds, at the young age of 17, he quickly became internationally famous in the 1960s with his later bands Cream and Blind Faith. Later, in the ’70s, he began an incredibly successful solo career, releasing massive hits like “Layla” and “Tears in Heaven.”
Over his five decades in the music industry, Clapton won 18 Grammys and a Brit Award, the British equivalent of the Grammys. He is also regularly ranked as one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
