1. Larry Ellison – Lanai, $300 – $600 Million
As you may already know, Larry Ellison is the co-founder of Oracle, the second-largest software company in the world after Microsoft. Many high profile inventors and businesspeople not only want their own private islands for seclusion, but also safety. However, Ellison decided to give a portion of this Hawaiian island to the public, after buying it for somewhere between $300 and $600 million.
The Hawaiian island features a Four Seasons resort that really gives its visitors the whole vacation experience. Furthermore, it is one of the most expensive resorts in Hawaii, with a nightly rate of $21,000 in its main penthouse.
2. Naomi Campbell – Turkey, Undisclosed Amount
Naomi Campbell is one of the most successful models of all time. It’s no wonder she’s got so many suitors hoping to win over her heart. What’s more, one of those former suitors gifted her a property on a private island for her birthday. Sadly, it still wasn’t enough to persuade Campbell!
The lavish beach house is on a beautiful island in Turkey. Furthermore, the famous architect Luis de Garrido was the man in charge of the incredible property design, which looks like the eye of Horus, an ancient Egyptian symbol. Why? “The property has a strong symbolic and intended to represent the wishes, desires, aspirations, and dreams of the person whose life has inspired, and is the result of an optimized design process,” Garrido writes on his website.
