Still, Chucky also feels like one of those characters than can join this list any year. After all, he’s iconic! The first movie came out in 1988, and now there are a total of eight Chucky franchise movies! Even if you’ve never seen a single one, you know Chucky is the cute/creepy murderous doll. It’s the perfect Halloween costume – the ideal balance between popular, scary, and relatively easy to make.

Believe it or not, searches for the costume went up by 1,450 percent in October. It wasn’t cheap, either; it retailed for $54.95.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice – these were the ingredients to create the perfect little girls… and, probably, the ultimate classic-childhood-nostalgia costumes for Halloween. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup have always been a costume favorite. So, it’s no surprise that they once again became one of the most popular Halloween costumes of the year.
