In the time of the coronavirus, dating has become trickier than ever! Still, love will always find a way! However, even the most romantic at heart will feel surprised by just how creative one young man became while asking out his neighbor during a quarantine. Afterward, they even managed to go on a date!

Over the past month, Jeremy Cohen, a New York City-based photographer, has been self-isolating in his apartment to keep himself and others safe. One day, he watched as a “cute girl” danced on her apartment building roof, across the street. Surprisingly, when Cohen waved, the cute girl waved back! Enticed by the woman across the street, Cohen knew he needed to do something. But what?

Well, Cohen’s first attempt came in the shape of a drone, which he used to send over a note, asking for a date. By the looks of it, the mystery girl seemed absolutely shocked by the sight of the drone. Thankfully, she still contacted Choen, and the two set up their first quarantine date…

As it turns out, the mystery girl’s name is Tori Cignarella, and she texted Cohen shortly after she received the drone surprise. Meanwhile, Choen continued to document his romance with the “quarantine cutie” on TikTok. Now, the date video has gone viral, with thousands sharing it with their friends and families.

In the date video, Cohen got Cignarella’s roommate to help set up a surprise dinner on the roof. The setup included a white tablecloth, flowers, wine, everything! At the same time, the photographer set up his own table and flowers on his balcony. Then, the two proceeded to FaceTime each other and learn about one another over microwaved dinners. Thankfully, the romance did not end there!

The incredible quarantine love story does not end there! Once again, Choen shocked social media, and Cignarella, by figuring out how to take her on a second date. Believe it or not, he purchased an inflatable plastic bubble, blew it up, and wore it out on the streets of NYC! Thanks to this clever contraptions, the two managed to enjoy a second date – all while maintaining social distancing!

On the date, the couple walked around their neighborhood, Cohen in his plastic bubble and Cignarella in gloves. Today, they are still dating! “Tori and I talk every day now, through text/voice messages/FaceTime, etc. We get along super well and just take it day by day! It’s strange timing to go viral, but it makes me happy knowing that our story brought some feel-good news to the world when we need it most,” Choen told his followers on Tik-Tok.
