From the very first season of The Real World, reality television has turned ordinary people into stars. Something about watching people fight about everything from their political views to sticking their fingers in the peanut butter leaves viewers wanting more.
But what happens after the cameras stop rolling? Although some reality stars prefer to stay out of the spotlight, alumni from popular reality shows like American Idol, Survivor, Toddlers and Tiaras, The Real World, and many more have gone on to find success on the screen and on the charts.
If you’ve ever wondered what your favorite reality stars are up to now, we’ve caught up both the ones you love and the ones you hate…
1. Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Audiences first met Elisabeth Hasselbeck when she competed on Survivor: The Australian Outback in 2001. A fierce competitor, Hasselbeck finished the season in fourth place. Shortly after her time in the outback, Hasselbeck married former NFL quarterback, Tim Hasselbeck in 2002.
Hasselbeck joined the panel of hosts on The View in 2003, to dish about all of the hot topics. Her conservative views often led to heated discussions with her co-hosts until her departure from the show in 2013. From there, Hasselbeck spent two years at Fox News as a co-host of Fox and Friends. In 2015, she announced she was leaving the network to focus on her husband and their three children. Hasselbeck is also on the board of The Positivity Project, an organization which helps young people form positive relationships.
