Regis Philbin – $150 Million

Its hard to think of game or talk shows without thinking of the legendary Regis Philbin. Believe it or not, he started the show that would eventually become Live! With… back in the ’70s on radio, not television. After Live! moved to television and added co-host Kathie Lee in 1985, it quickly became an American favorite, turning Philbin into a household name. From there, he continued to garner wealth and success thanks to shows like Who Wants to Be A Millionaire and America’s Got Talent, as well as staying on Live! With for nearly four decades.
Sadly, Philbin passed away in July, 2020, leaving behind a net worth of $150 million. Thankfully, unlike many other celebrities, the iconic host had his affairs in order, easing the loss for his four children and wife since 1970, Joy Philbin.
Frank Bough – $1 Million

In the ’60s, journalist Frank Bough became one of the most famous presenters on the BBC. A passionate soccer expert, Bough managed to work his way up from sideline football correspondent to the host of hit shows like BBC Sports Review of the Year and Grandstand. Unfortunately, paparazzi caught Bough in some lewd and illegal acts in the ’80s. Although he took full responsibility and publicly apologized, he lost all his television contracts.
Afterward, sadly, Bough never managed to make a comeback. He lived out his life quietly in the countryside of England. The iconic journalist died in 2020, at the age of 87, with a net worth of just under $1 million.
