Starbucks Drinks

Starbucks: love it or hate it, the iconic brand is here to stay. Partly, Starbucks has something for nearly everyone – coffee, tea, pastries, sandwiches, they’ve got it all! However, they also know how to create a social media buzz! Exciting Starbucks drinks come in all types: seasonal, like the Pumpkin Spice Latte, while some are only available for a few days, like the Unicorn Frappuccino. Then, some are just downright crazy, like the Tie-Dye Frappuccino! Read on to see some of the wildest Starbucks drinks of all time…

The Unicorn Frappuccino

Unicorn Frappuccino

In the past few years, companies have made everything unicorn-themed. “Unicorn” seems to mean using pastel colors like pink, purple, blue, and, of course, glitter! So, it’s easy to unicorn-ify anything…including Starbucks drinks! In April of 2017, the company introduced Unicorn Frappuccino, which was available for five days only. It uses a pink and blue yogurt base, topped off with whipped cream and some edible glitter…and if you mix it, it turns purple. Apparently, it first tastes sweet, and then sour. Some said it didn’t taste very good, but did look great on an Instagram post!

The Tie-Dye Frappuccino

Tie-Dye Frappuccino

This is the latest entry into the Crazy Starbucks Drinks Hall of Fame. It suddenly appeared on July 10, 2019, and sold out in hours – and no one knows if it will ever make a comeback. A tribute to the seventies, this frap is a “deliciously fruity drink is vibrant with red, blue and yellow tie-dye swirls, topped with vanilla whipped cream, and dusted with red, blue and yellow powder.” So few people got to taste it, but it’s apparently summery and fresh, and probably has a milk or yogurt base.

The Birthday Cake Frappuccino

Birthday Cake Frappuccino

This is the one that started the entire crazy Starbucks drinks craze! The famous coffee chain wanted to celebrate 20 years of serving frappuccinos. So, in 2015 they created the Birthday Cake Frappuccino. It’s a blend of vanilla and hazelnut, and, obviously, topped with pink whipped cream. You can try to get a hold of this drink every year, as it’s released one week every summer. Keep an eye out on social media!

The Berry Prickly Pear Frappuccino

Berry Prickly Pear Frappuccino

The Berry Prickly Pear Frappuccino seems like a classic summer drink. It combined so many fruity flavors in it and so much going on, it’s hard to contain all in one drink! The Berry Prickly Pear consisted of three layers: a strawberry, hibiscus, and lime puree, mango creme and another berry prickly puree. Starbucks released it in the summer of 2017 (alongside the Pineapple Mango Frappuccino, seen left in the photo), but never again. Here’s hoping they rerelease it, soon. It looks incredible!

Crystal Ball Frappuccino

This is perhaps the oddest of Starbucks’ drinks. However, despite its looks, the Crystal Ball drink was a hit for Starbucks. But if you blinked during March of 2018, you would’ve probably missed it – it was sold between 22-26 of the month. It was designed to be a spring Frap, with a peachy flavor and different “candy gems” that could tell your future…
