Pranks are a great way to release some steam and just have a good time. That’s why we created a holiday all about pranking people: April Fool’s Day! So, this year, a local Wisconsin woman planned the ultimate prank against her husband. Like all good pranks, it was all in good fun, completely harmless, and hysterical. It started with her collection dozens and dozens of Amazon boxes before surprising her husband. Read on to discover the prank and see his epic reaction…
Collecting Amazon Boxes
Meet Maureen Pritchard. She’s your average lady, who lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin along with her husband, Rob. The Pritchards are your average couple, which means they participate in April Fool’s Day every year. However, this year, Mrs. Pritchard planned her prank for months and months. She worked hard to create a perfect surprise for her hubby.
See, Maureen uses Amazon a lot, sometimes to the annoyance of her husband. So, for six months, Pritchard saved up all of the boxes from her Amazon orders and also asked her parents and sisters to keep their Amazon boxes for her. She hid them all – for weeks and weeks. And so, when the right time came – April Fool’s Day – Pritchard went ahead with the big prank. She just needed to wait until Rob left the house. When he returned, he’d have quite the surprise waiting for him.
What IS All That?!
Rob, came home from work to the surprise of his life: dozens upon dozens of Amazon “orders” in all shapes and sizes, waiting on their doorstep. You can see in the video Maureen posted on Facebook – Rob pulls up to the driveway, slowly. He then stares at the mountain of boxes for a couple of moments, shocked. He probably thought there’d been a colossal mistake. Or that his wife went on the most massive spending spree of all time.
Rob then gets out of the car, still shocked. It took him another minute to realize that his wife is filming him, but still, Maureen wrote in a Facebook post – he didn’t understand it was a prank. “When he saw me recording out the window, I thought he realized that it was a joke, but when he came inside he kept asking, What IS all that?!? I had to explain that it was 6 months of saved boxes, from us, my parents and my sister!”
“The Ultimate Prank”
Funnily, Maureen wasn’t the only one who thought the prank went perfectly. Over the next few weeks, users shared the Facebook post (which includes the video) over 800,000 times. People also responded well to video, calling it the “perfect prank.” Others shared that their significant others would likely have a heart attack if they saw that pile of boxes.
Maureen finished off her post with the words “Anyone need any boxes?!?” We hope that by now Pritchard has gotten rid of the boxes and recycled them. Also, Amazon should probably reach out and give that lady some sort of reward for the dedication, patience, and free advertisement!
